Jacques Blais is a Shareholder in the Tax Services Department of Vestal & Wiler.  He graduated from Lawrence Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and has completed selected graduate courses in both taxation and finance programs at Walsh College. He obtained his designation as a Certified Financial Planner in 1990 upon completion of the required courses at Oakland University.  Jacques has also received his "Certified in Florida Sales and Use Tax" designation from the Florida Department of Revenue which qualifies him to conduct sales and use tax audits under the supervision of the Florida Department of Revenue. 

  Jacques began his career in public accounting in Michigan in 1984 and joined Vestal & Wiler in 1991.  His industry expertise includes real estate development, commercial and residential construction, manufacturing, distribution, medical services, hotels and lodging, professional service organizations, automobile and related dealerships and not-for-profit organizations.

   Jacques is responsible for the planning and review of tax and information return engagements predominantly pertaining to Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies, S Corporations, Individuals and Trusts.  In addition, he devotes a significant amount of time in providing consulting services for choice of entity planning, business restructuring, estate tax planning as well as retirement planning.

Jacques is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
