Jim Cavender is the Director of Technology Services for Vestal & Wiler. 

   Jim began his career in Information Technology in 1996, after serving in the U.S. Navy.  Before joining Vestal & Wiler Technology Services, he worked for another consulting company in Orlando.   During his employment there, he was a contracted employee supporting several local businesses including, an Architectural Firm in Winter Park where he supported more than 100 users on a Novell network,   and the RDV Sportsplex in Maitland where he was the Network Engineer in charge of network security and the enterprise-wide E-mail system in a mixed environment having both Novell and Microsoft network operating systems.

  Jim's experience in Information Technology has broadened encompassing many of today's sophisticated network designs.  He has experience in server-based computing, thin-client and desktop computing, mixed as well as monogamous server environments, remote access solutions, router, firewall and layer 3 switch configurations, enterprise-wide collaborative software implementation,  multi-site network configuration and support as well as wireless and VPN enabled solutions.

Jim has received his Certified Citrix Administrator (CCA) as well as his Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications.
